Privacy Policy

1. About Driver Focused

This policy applies to Driver Focused and its supported website aliases and apps. Independently operated clubs, event organizers, advertisers, and linked websites may have their own privacy practices.

Other products, including DrivenToShow and DrivenToCollect, have their own policies. Connecting an account or opening one of those products does not make every item in your accounts public or combine all of your information.

2. Information we collect

The information we process depends on the features you use.

• Account information: your name, email address, username, email-verification status, account permissions, and records of the terms you acknowledge.
• Community content: vehicle details and photos, maintenance records and documents you upload, stories, listings, club applications and memberships, invitations, event information, drive stops and addresses, attendance responses, votes, reports, and content you submit.
• Business and purchase information: advertiser contact and company details, campaigns, chosen membership plans, payment-provider references, billing status, and transaction records. Payment processors handle payment-card information; Driver Focused does not need your full card number to operate your membership.
• Technical and activity information: IP addresses, browser and device information, app requests, sign-in and security events, and activity such as deal views or clicks. Some security identifiers are stored as hashes.
• Information you send us when asking for help, reporting content, or making a privacy request, including the name, reply email, topic, and message you choose to enter in our contact form. Contact messages are delivered to our support team through our email provider; the information you enter is not published.

3. How we use information

We use information to create and verify accounts; display the content you choose to share; provide garages, clubs, events, drives, articles, listings, and offers; manage permissions and invitations; process requested purchases; send sign-in links and service messages; answer requests; and maintain the service.

We also use information to moderate content, investigate abuse and fraud, troubleshoot problems, measure service and campaign activity, maintain acknowledgment records, and meet legal obligations. A terms acknowledgment is not an opt-in to promotional email.

4. Public content and community access

Public profiles, garages, photos, listings, articles, clubs, and events may be visible to other people, search engines, and people outside Driver Focused. Public material may be copied, linked, cached, or shared by others. Removing it from Driver Focused cannot remove every copy held by someone else.

Private content is subject to the service’s access controls. Club administrators and event organizers receive information needed to manage their communities, applications, invitations, and attendance. Their independent use of information is their responsibility. Check visibility settings before posting and avoid publishing information you intend to keep confidential.

Photos, license plates, vehicle descriptions, event addresses, and drive stops can reveal identities or locations. Obtain permission before posting someone else’s personal information.

5. When information is shared

We share information as needed with providers that host and store the service, deliver email, process payments, and support operations. Current integrations include DigitalOcean hosting and storage, Mailgun email delivery, and Stripe for supported billing. These providers process information needed for their roles.

If you connect a supported DrivenToShow identity, account information such as your verified identity, email address, and name may be used to link and synchronize the accounts. Public vehicle and event information from connected products may appear in discovery features. Private content is not made public simply because an identity is connected.

Advertisers may receive campaign information such as views and clicks. Opening an advertiser’s offer, an article, a video, or another external website sends you to a separate service. Maps, address search, embedded content, external images, and payment pages may receive requests directly from your browser or device and operate under their own policies.

We may disclose information to comply with law or valid legal process, protect people and the service, investigate misuse, or support a merger or transfer of the business with appropriate protections. We may also share information when you direct us to do so.

6. Device permissions, locations, and reminders

Driver Focused stores addresses and route stops that you submit. The current app does not continuously track your location or collect background GPS location. Opening directions passes the destination to Apple Maps or Google Maps; that provider determines location access through its own settings and permissions. Address-search features send your search to Google when you use them.

Photos and files are received when you choose to upload them. Optional device features may request permission when you use them. You can change supported permissions in your device settings.

Event reminders in the current app are scheduled on your device after you request them and grant notification permission. Saved public event details and a recent discovery view may be stored on that device for offline use. Private event details are not included in this offline-saving feature. Deleting an account on the server does not automatically remove copies already saved on a device; remove saved items or the app to remove those local copies.

7. Cookies and local storage

The website uses cookies for sign-in, security, and related preferences. The app uses protected device storage for sign-in credentials and local storage for supported public offline content. Blocking or clearing required storage can sign you out or prevent features from working.

Third-party websites, embedded videos, maps, address search, and external content may use their own cookies or similar technologies. Use your browser, device, and provider settings to manage those choices.

8. Retention and security

We keep account and community information while it is needed to provide the service and for legitimate security, billing, moderation, dispute-resolution, and legal purposes. Temporary sign-in credentials expire. Some information can remain in backups or records after removal from active use until it is no longer needed.

We use access controls, encrypted connections, and other safeguards appropriate to the information and service. No system can guarantee complete security. Protect your email account, sign-in links, and devices, and contact us about suspected unauthorized access.

9. Your choices and deletion requests

You can change supported profile and content settings in the service. To request access, correction, a copy of information, or deletion of your Driver Focused account, use our contact form. For deletion, choose “Account deletion” and enter the email address associated with your account. We verify identity before disclosing or deleting account information.

We will explain any information that must be retained for a legitimate legal or operational reason. Public content shared by others, community records involving other people, or de-identified information may require different handling. Closing a Driver Focused account does not by itself close a separate DrivenToShow, DrivenToCollect, or payment-provider account.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, transfer, restrict, or object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, or complain to a privacy authority. Contact us to exercise applicable rights. We do not require you to waive rights that applicable law gives you.

10. Children and international users

Driver Focused is not intended for children under 13, or under a higher minimum age where applicable law requires one. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. Contact us if you believe a child below the applicable minimum age has provided information so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Users below the age of legal adulthood must have permission from a parent or guardian.

Information may be processed outside your state or country, including in the United States, where privacy laws may differ. We handle requests and use safeguards as required by the laws applicable to that processing.

11. Updates and contact

We may update this policy as the service or our practices change. The effective date and version identify the current policy. We will provide additional notice or request consent when required for a material change.
